I am a Junior in a microscopic high school that isn’t even worth mentioning. Though it is cliché, I can not wait to get out of this town in order to move onto something greater. My dream college is NYU because New York City completely entrances me and I can go to Saturday Night Live. What I want to do, on the other hand, is not such an easy question to answer. I would love to be in the entertainment business, but being the realist that I am, I doubt that will happen. Instead, I’ll probably go to college for pre-med and change my major if I’m absolutely miserable.

That about sums everything up that is important, I hope that I didn’t bore you to death! Thanks for reading!

To the people who say that this is an outrage. That it’s disrespectful; that it’s rude and completely a punch in the gut I say this: Get over yourself.

You want to know something? Muslims died on 9/11 too. And not just the ones in the planes that crashed. There were many innocent Muslims in and around the towers who died as well. There were Muslim families torn apart by the loss of loved ones. People seem to forget that. They also seem to forget that not all Muslims are terrorists. In fact, ask pretty much any Muslim and they’ll tell you what happened on 9/11 is something that in unforgivable in their culture. They’ll tell you that the killing of innocent people is not something their religion is based off of at all.

Oh you want more? How about this then. How about the people who were terrorized after 9/11 just because they practice Islam. People who had absolutely nothing to do with it. People who were pulled off the street by police simply because they dressed suiting their religion.

They’re building a Mosque because of what this country was founded on. Freedom of Religion. Freedom to practice what ever you desire, and to believe in whatever you desire. And saying that it’s not right for them to build a Mosque is like slapping George Washington across the face. People who are being bigoted about this might as well still have slaves, and segregated schools. Muslims have every right to practice their faith, in their Mosques just as much as you do in your Churches, Synagogues and basements. If you’re going to deny them the right to practice that, then you had best not say a prayer; because it makes you a hypocrite.

This country is becoming such a vile place to live. It makes me sick! Seeing all the racism and hate. When are people going to wake up, open their eyes and realize that if we don’t start accepting other people for who they are and trying to understand them; then we’re going to be doomed as a country and more importantly as a race.

Get over your petty fears, and realize that we’re digging our graves.

I just wanted to say happy gay pride month to everyone. For those of you who don’t know, June is gay pride month! It’s a time to celebrate who you are, and for those who support to celebrate with us!

I especially like gay pride month, because it seems like for a month it’s a heck of a lot easier to ignore all of the homophobia I’m surrounded with. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to get a GSA started in time this year for my school to celebrate it. But I’m still hoping that we will be able to next year.

Also, I wanted to mention that Gay pride month is an awesome time to come out, but don’t feel pressured to. Coming out is a hard thing to do; and it’s something that you have to do on your own. I think that’s something that I’ll make into a separate post and possibly I’ll film a video about my coming out story. It’s not that interesting, but I know that when I was still on the fence about coming out, it was inspiring and helpful to read and watch others coming out stories.  Being Gay isn’t easy, and I think one of the hardest things to do is coming out.

Anyways, I want to keep this a short post, since it was really just to wish you a happy pride month. Hope you all have a great one, and let me know if you’re going to be doing anything interesting.

I know that this post is way overdue, but I’ve had a lot going on in the past week. Not to mention that school is coming to a close, so I have been swamped with homework and preparing for start testing. I can’t believe that my Sophomore year of High School is coming to a close, and at such a rapid pace!

I’m sure your first thought was “What in the world is this blog going to be about?”. Well, it’s going to be a mix of things. It’s going to be a personal blog; that I can tell you. It is going to be a place for me to post anything I see fit. Things like current events, of updates of my life. Or things from my creative side, like photos and writing. Who knows, maybe I’ll even divulge into my inner geek a little. All I know at this point is that we’re in for a wild ride, and I hope you’ve strapped yourself in because it would sure be a bummer to loose you along the way.
